This way, anyone can follow a map to the letter. Instead of watching the U.S. and Canadian governments trash their surplus topographical surveys, Forestsaver is stepping in, slicing up the pale-green and white paper and reselling it in neat little stationery packages to eco-conscious shoppers.
Besides 8 1/2-by-11 paper and No. 10 envelopes, the New York-based recycling company’s newest line, called MAPelopes, includes mailers in three sizes. The MAPelopes require only an address label to meet U.S. Postal Service requirements, and a pack of 50 sheets with 25 envelopes goes for $8.95.
