Seymour represents the large majority of the visitors to the California desert last year, and represents them well. In contrast, what is The Times interest in the establishment of a federal bureaucracy over almost 10% of the state of California for the satisfaction of a partisan group?
Environmentalist is not an epithet. We all identify. Bureaucracy is. Webster defines it: “Government by officials following an inflexible routine.”
Government cannot now afford the Yellowstone rangers a living wage. Who needs more?
