THOUSAND OAKS : Motorcyclist Is Killed in Crash

A Woodland Hills man died Thursday after his motorcycle crashed into a car on Newbury Road near Kelly Road in Thousand Oaks, officials said.
David Benson, 54, was taken to Los Robles Hospital, where he died of multiple injuries at 8:12 p.m., a hospital spokeswoman said.
The driver of the car, Michiko Dettloff, 40, of Simi Valley was not injured, Ventura County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Funchess said.
Benson, who was wearing a helmet, was traveling east on Newbury Road at about 7 p.m. when his motorcycle hit Dettloff’s car as it turned, witnesses told police.
The speeds of the vehicles have not been determined, Funchess said.
