Walsh’s Shot at USC Was Cheap, Low-Class
In the midst of outlining his lofty “teaching is what I do” principles during his announcement about returning to Stanford as the football coach, Bill Walsh fired off a no-class cheap shot (Morning Briefing, Jan. 12) about USC football academics--long outdated misinformation at that! Why? Why would this otherwise class guy who has one of the finest football minds in the nation demean himself in this way?
Despite his now diminished stature, at least Coach Walsh can now continue his intellectual prancing--perhaps furnishing halftime material to the Stanford Band. They understand no-class.
