Citation Mortgage Buys Bad Nursing Home Loans

Citation Mortgage Ltd. of Newport Beach, beating out 10 other bidders, paid $100 million to purchase 23 bad loans for nursing home facilities and to buy three nursing homes from the federal agency charged with cleaning up failed savings and loans.
The winning bid represented 55% of the total value of those assets as listed by Resolution Trust Corp.
