Discovery Channel Rebates Cable Operators: Bethesda, Md.-based cable TV network The Discovery Channel said it will rebate $13.1 million to cable system affiliates who signed up for a five-year affiliation agreement in 1987. The rebate pool was collected from 1991 net advertising revenues. In 1990, cable affiliates received a total of $9.1 million under the rebate plan.
