Boston Garden, home of the Celtics and Bruins that has stood for 64 years, will be replaced in 1995 by a $160-million arena.
Construction is scheduled to begin next fall on a 755,000 square-foot facility, to be built behind the present Boston Garden. It will seat 17,200 for hockey, 18,400 for basketball, and 19,600 for concerts.
