ADVANTAGE TOM: Assemblyman Tom Umberg (D-Garden Grove) ranks sixth in fund raising among state legislators facing reelection this year. He has collected just over $100,000 since January. Umberg aide George Urch explains that, since Umberg is the only Democrat in the county’s delegation, “we have a built-in advantage--we don’t have to compete for Democratic contributions.” . . . Umberg is unopposed in the June primary and is considered a November front-runner.
