Philanthropist Anwar Soliman, here with KTLA news anchor Jann Carl, was honored on Saturday night at a benefit staged by the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. at the Anaheim Hilton & Towers. Soliman received the organization’s Gift of Hope award for his support of the local chapter. Net proceeds from the gala were estimated at about $93,000.
