Countywide : Ventura Attorney Chosen to Lead County United Way

Ventura attorney Joe Henderson will be named chairman of the board for United Way of Ventura County at the agency’s annual meeting on Thursday.
Henderson will succeed Marty de los Cobos at the helm of the nonprofit agency’s 43-member board of directors for a one-year term, a spokeswoman for the umbrella charitable groupsaid.
Henderson, a partner in the Ventura law firm Henderson & Wohlgemuth, will deliver a “State of the United Way of Ventura County” message at the luncheon meeting.
The event will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Bill Esty Community Center, 3701 E. Las Posas Road in Camarillo. Tickets to the annual meeting cost $17.50, and the agency requests that reservations be made by calling Sylvia Schnopp at 485-6288.
