Thanks for the great article on Garth Brooks. You report that Garth wants people to say, “That guy was real then and he’s real now. He hasn’t changed.” I can assure you that he hasn’t changed.
After being treated in a rude manner by some guards after a Brooks concert, I wrote him a nasty letter. A few months later I received a handwritten, two-page letter from Brooks, in which he proved to be a down-to-earth, honest, truly caring person. All this was confirmed later when I met him.
Garth may not be able to meet all his fans in person, but he is still sweet and unaffected by his fame. He says his fans mean a lot to him; well, Garth, you mean a lot to us!
