He’s Still Standing

After attending one of the Elton John concerts at Dodger Stadium last weekend, I must commend Robert Hilburn on his insightful, poignant and emotional profile of one of the most popular rock performers around (“Elton’s Exorcism,” Aug. 23).
John has been able to overcome the adversity of his personal tragedies and addictions, and he proved during his performance that he has come back stronger than ever. He again showed the energy and vitality that most fans have been longing for for a decade.
The performance left no doubts that John is still standing, and that the sun has definitely not gone down on him.
