Hart, Agoura No. 1 in Cross-Country

The Hart High boys’ and the Agoura girls’ cross-country teams are ranked first in The Harrier magazine’s national high school preseason poll.
Hart and Agoura were the top-ranked teams in the country last season after winning their second consecutive state Division I titles, and each team again will be strong.
Hart, led by seniors Keith Grossman and Paul De La Cerda, will have six of its top seven runners back from last year’s team that outdistanced Peninsula, 43-88, for the state title.
Agoura also has six returnees, including junior Kay Nekota and sophomore Amy Skieresz. The Chargers totaled 41 points in the state championships, 26 ahead of runner-up Peninsula.
