El Camino Real 20, Kennedy 17--Running back Chris Shinnick’s two second-half touchdowns helped the Conquistadores (1-3) hold off host Kennedy in a conference opener. Shinnick gained 165 yards in 23 carries and scored on runs of three and four yards as El Camino Real built a 20-9 lead in the fourth quarter.
Kennedy (0-4) was led by running back Donte Scarbrough, who ran for 98 yards and a touchdown in 19 tries.
