Take a Bow: Sidney Lumet, who has directed such notable movies as “Network” and “Serpico,” has been chosen to receive the top honor from the Directors Guild of America. He’ll get the group’s D.W. Griffith Award at the annual DGA dinner on March 6. His selection was announced Thursday by DGA President Arthur Hiller. Lumet’s career includes live television drama with CBS in the 1950s, and his feature film debut was in 1957, directing Henry Fonda in “Twelve Angry Men.” He called the DGA honor “the most rewarding moment of my professional life.”
