Orange Coast to Offer Women’s Crew

COSTA MESA — Orange Coast will have a women’s crew team this spring for the first time in the history of the college, Athletic Director Barry Wallace said Tuesday.
Linda Moeller, who used to be the sailing coach at OCC and is currently the adviser to the college’s Associated Students Board of Trustees, will coach the team.
Moeller said more than 20 women have expressed interest in the program.
“We have student interest and competition for spots that will only improve once the word about the program gets out,” Moeller said. “Women’s crew is a sport that is growing in popularity throughout the state.”
Women’s crew will be the 22nd intercollegiate sport at OCC.
