A Lancaster man was arrested Tuesday for fatally shooting his roommate after a heated argument, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Stanley Gordon, 49, was being held without bail on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting about 1 a.m. at a home in the 47000 block of 92nd Street West, Deputy Angie McLaughlin said. The identity of the 45-year-old victim was withheld until his family could be notified.
After the dispute, Gordon left the house and entered a trailer behind the house where he armed himself with a handgun.
Gordon shot his roommate three times in the upper body when he entered the trailer a short time later, McLaughlin said. The man was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital where he died at 5:15 a.m.
Gordon was taken into sheriff’s custody without incident, McLaughlin said.
