3 Whites Arrested in Burning of Black

TAMPA, Fla. — Three white men have been arrested in an attack on a black tourist who was abducted, doused with gasoline and set on fire in a field, with a racist note left nearby.
Jeff Ray Pellet, 17, Mark A. Kohut, 26, and Charles P. Rourk, 33, were jailed late Wednesday without bail on charges of attempted first-degree murder, armed kidnaping and armed robbery in the New Year’s Day attack on Christopher Wilson, 31, of New York.
Wilson remained in serious but stable condition.
