Cal State Los Angeles 68, Alaska Fairbanks 59--Junior guard Cameron Inouye scored 19 of her 21 points and hit all five of her shots from three-point range in the second half to help Cal State L.A. win a nonconference game at home Tuesday.
Alaska Fairbanks scored the game’s first 10 points and took a 22-2 lead with 12:14 to play in the first half. But the Golden Eagles held the Nanooks scoreless for the next seven minutes and cut the deficit to 28-26 with 24 seconds left before halftime.
Inouye tied the score at 45 with another three-point basket, and Hollie Keeton, who had 14 points, scored on a layup to give Cal State L.A. the lead for good, 51-49, with 9:43 remaining.
Records: Alaska Fairbanks 6-7, Cal State L.A. 3-9.
