I cast my first Republican vote for Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1952 and have voted the straight Republican ticket for 40 years. Last November, at age 62, I cast my first Democratic vote. I happen to be pro-life, but the GOP should get out of abortion politics. The very foundation of the party is to keep government out of our personal lives. I await my party’s return to its roots.
