HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP : Campbell Hall Cruises to Win Over Outmanned Whitney

Harold Silvester scored 17 points, C.J. Thompkins added 15 and Alex Lopez contributed nine points and 10 rebounds as visiting Campbell Hall ran past Whitney, 68-35, in a boys’ Delphic League basketball game Saturday.
Campbell Hall (11-8, 7-1 in league play) held Whitney (3-5 in league play) to three points in the first quarter.
In other boys’ games:
Nordhoff 68, Thacher 45--Mark Sebek scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds and teammate Steve Saum added 13 points and five assists as the Rangers (11-7) routed the host Toads.
Chadwick 73, Montclair Prep 60--Jerome Joseph scored 20 points and Greg Rosen added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Mounties (13-7), who lost a nonleague game at home.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Buena 48, Chino 35--Mikko Giordano scored 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (14-2) in a nonleague game at home.
WRESTLING
El Camino Real six-way meet--Palmdale Highland’s Rich Moakley, wrestling at 160 pounds, was undefeated in four matches to lead the Bulldogs to second place in the El Camino Real six-way meet.
Bakersfield Highland won the event, sweeping its five dual meets. Palmdale Highland went 4-1, followed by Channel Islands (3-2), Canoga Park (2-3), Bell (1-4) and San Marcos (0-5).
Canoga Park’s Phill Duffield, at 189 pounds, teammates Ralph Palacios (145) and heavyweight Keith Jardine each went 5-0 in individual matches. Channel Islands’ Temo Ochoa was unbeaten in five matches in the 152-pound class and teammate Joe Chevoya was 5-0 at 135 pounds.
