OXNARD : Driver Wounded in Street Shooting

An Oxnard motorist suffered minor injuries to his lip Friday after being struck by gunfire from a passing vehicle in southeast Oxnard, police said.
The man, whose identity was not available late Friday, was driving in the 700 block of East 5th Street about 7 p.m. when an occupant of another vehicle fired rounds into his car and sped off, Oxnard police said.
The injured man drove himself to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. His condition was not available.
Police had no motive or suspects in the shooting late Friday.
