SOUTH COAST LEAGUE BOYS’ ROUNDUP : Simon’s 21 Points Help Mater Dei Win in Rout

Miles Simon had 21 points to help Mater Dei to a 77-29 victory over Dana Hills in a South Coast League boys’ basketball game Friday at Dana Hills.
The Monarchs (24-1, 7-0 in league), top-ranked in the county, led, 50-18, after three quarters. Terence Wilborn had 10 points and three blocks, Clay McKnight had 10 points and Marmet Williams had seven points and 11 rebounds for Mater Dei.
In other South Coast League games:
Mission Viejo 56, San Clemente 45--Jeff Carr had 22 points to lead Mission Viejo (10-12, 4-4). Doug Reindl had 15 rebounds for Mission Viejo.
San Clemente led by 10 in the first quarter, but Mission Viejo held the Tritons to two points in the third quarter.
San Clemente (4-14, 0-8) was led by Luke Mannix, who had 14 points, and Matt Ortiz with 12.
Capistrano Valley 64, El Toro 51--Cory Kost had 24 points to lead Capistrano Valley (16-8, 7-1). Jeff Bone had 19 points for El Toro (5-16, 1-7).
