The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Feb. 1 and 7:
Glendale
Wilson Avenue, 100 block--A chef at an inn was beaten with a pipe and boards by a group of men at 2:25 p.m. Feb. 1, apparently in retaliation for a previous argument.
Hamilton Lane, 4000 block--Thieves pried out a window of a house and stole a video camera valued at $900 and jewelry valued at $4,550 between 6:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 3.
Verdugo Road and Honolulu Avenue--A woman who had gotten off a bus at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 3 was pushed to the ground by a man and robbed of her wallet, valued at $25.
Garfield Avenue, 1000 block--A teacher walking on the street at 7:35 p.m. Feb. 3 was robbed at gunpoint of her car radio, valued at $600, and a wallet containing $90.
Kimlin Drive, 700 block--A classroom of a private school was broken into at 5:15 a.m. Feb. 5 and a TV and typewriter were stolen.
Kenilworth Avenue, 500 block--A man getting something from his car at 12:40 p.m. Feb. 5 was robbed by a gunman of about $60.
North Orange Street, 500 block--A box office worker at a theater was robbed at gunpoint of $470 by a man at 4 p.m. Feb. 5.
South Lincoln Avenue, 400 block--Burglars ransacked a house and stole a VCR and an unknown amount of cash and jewelry Feb. 5 or 6.
North Verdugo Road, 100 block--An apartment was ransacked between Feb. 5 and 7, and $7,800 was stolen.
Riverside and Zoo drives--A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine at 12:02 a.m. Feb. 6 after a chase on Interstate 5 and the Glendale Freeway.
San Fernando Road, 4100 block--Two men at a restaurant placed a wire brush to a waitress’ side at 10 p.m. Feb. 6, and forced her to open the cash register. They fled with about $400.
West Glenoaks Boulevard, 500 block--Thieves broke into a shoe repair shop on Feb. 6 or 7 and stole merchandise.
Pioneer Drive, 600 block--Thieves pried wrought iron bars from an apartment and stole two TVs, a VCR, a crystal vase, a microwave oven and a Persian rug, valued at more than $2,365, and $400 on Feb. 6 or 7.
Geneva Street, 1100 block--Thieves pried open a window of a house and stole a CD player, a computer and a purse, valued at $480, and $60 between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 7.
Altura Avenue, 3900 block--Diamond and opal earrings and other gold jewelry, valued at about $12,000, were stolen from a house between 12:30 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7.
La Canada/Flintridge
Cornishon Avenue, 4400 block--Between Feb. 5 and 7, a classroom at a private school was broken into and $650 in supplies were stolen.
Foothill Boulevard, 2100 block--A liquor store was broken into at 5:10 a.m. Feb. 4, and about $200 and 30 cartons of cigarettes, valued at $550, were stolen.
La Crescenta
Orange Avenue, 2800 block--Burglars entered a house and stole telephone equipment, a VCR, jewelry and a TV, valued at $1,425, while a woman was on vacation between Jan. 29 and Feb. 1.
Atwater Village
Fletcher Drive, 2100 block--A man snatched a purse, valued at $100, from a woman at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6.
Eagle Rock
York Hill Place, 4000 block--Money and jewelry valued at $7,800 were stolen from a house between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Feb. 2.
Fair Park Avenue, 2200 block--Thieves may have used a key to enter a business at 7 p.m. Feb. 3, where they stole business machines valued at $1,200.
Eagle Vista Drive, 1300 block--Burglars smashed the window of a house and stole jewelry and a TV, valued at $1,150, between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Feb. 6.
Echo Park
Everett Street, 900 block--Three men entered an apartment with guns, tied up and gagged two occupants and robbed them of money and jewelry, valued at $3,430, at 8:25 p.m. Jan. 31.
Westerly Terrace, 1400 block--Thieves pried open the kitchen window of an apartment and stole a TV and video equipment, valued at $1,310, between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
Everett Street, 900 block--Four men entered an unlocked apartment, tied up the occupants, ransacked the apartment and stole money and documents, valued at $1,746, at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 2.
Beaudry Avenue, 900 block--Four men entered an apartment with a handgun, tied up a woman and robbed her of jewelry and video equipment, valued at $1,730, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
Westerly Terrace, 1500 block--Money and jewelry, valued at $1,335, were stolen from a house between 1:15 and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 5.
Glassell Park
Weldon Avenue, 3100 block--Jewelry and video equipment, valued at $1,230, were stolen from an apartment between 9 and 11 a.m. Feb. 1.
Drew Street, 3300 block--Jewelry and a telephone, valued at $1,420, were stolen from an apartment between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Feb. 7.
Highland Park
Monte Vista Avenue and Avenue 50--A man seated in his car at 1:15 a.m. Feb. 1 was robbed of his vehicle by two men armed with a switchblade and a gun.
York Boulevard, 6400 block--Two men robbed a man in a parking facility of his vehicle at 4:50 a.m. Feb. 1.
Granada Street, 5000 block--A man was forced out of his car at gunpoint by two men who fled in the vehicle at 5:30 a.m. Feb. 1.
York Boulevard, 4700 block--An apartment resident confronted a burglar at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 1, but the man fled with money and video equipment valued at $1,010.
Avenue 53 and Marmion Way--A man walking with his children at 7:05 p.m. Feb. 1 was robbed at gunpoint of $300 by two men.
Figueroa Street and Avenue 57--A man on a sidewalk was robbed at gunpoint of $40 at 7:20 p.m. Feb. 1.
North Avenue 61, 300 block--A woman was robbed of her purse and money, valued at $300, by a man who drove up into her driveway at 7 a.m. Feb. 2.
Armadale Avenue, 1300 block--Jewelry and video equipment, valued at $2,080, were stolen from a house, which was also ransacked between 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2.
West Avenue 42, 4000 block--Burglars ransacked a house between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 3, and stole money and jewelry, valued at $7,350.
Aldama Street, 5600 block--Two men snatched a gold chain valued at $300 from a woman’s neck as she walked on the sidewalk at 11 a.m. Feb. 3.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4300 block--A man robbed a business employee of $60 at gunpoint at 7:50 p.m. Feb. 3.
Figueroa Street, 5500 block--Thieves used a screwdriver to pry the locks off an office and stole money and typewriters, valued at $1,990, on Feb. 3 or 4.
Figueroa Street and York Boulevard--Two men with a knife robbed a man of his bicycle, valued at $200, at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 4.
Figueroa Street, 5400 block--A gunman robbed a clerk at a business of $50 at 2:05 p.m. Feb. 4.
Avenue 56, 200 block--A man on the sidewalk was shot in the knee by two men who drove by at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 5.
Ash Street, 5600 block--Two men hit a man in the head with a broken bottle at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 5 and robbed him of $330.
Avenue 56 and York Boulevard--Three men walked up to a group of people and one fired a bullet into a man’s thigh at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 5.
Figueroa Street, 4700 block--Burglars ransacked the bedroom of a house and stole jewelry and video equipment, valued at $2,498, between 4:45 and 7:45 p.m. Feb. 6.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4400 block--A man in a parking lot was robbed of his vehicle at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 6, by a man with a revolver.
Meridian Street, 4900 block--Money and jewelry, valued at $2,000, were stolen from a house between 2:30 and 7:10 p.m. Feb. 7.
Figueroa Street, 5500 block--Two men armed with a gun and a knife robbed a woman of her car at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 7.
Los Feliz
Sunset Boulevard, 4300 block--Two men climbed the fence of a nursery school and loaded supplies, valued at $1,100, into a shopping cart at 5:45 a.m. Feb. 3 and fled.
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3700 block--Musical instruments and appliances, valued at $4,780, were stolen from a garage between 6:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
Camero Avenue, 4000 block--Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglarizing a house at 12:50 p.m. Feb. 4.
Talmadge Street, 1900 block--Two men with a handgun robbed a woman on the street of a stereo and money, valued at $710, at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 5.
Normandie and Fountain avenues--Three men with a gun robbed a man on the sidewalk of $60 at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 5.
Sunset Boulevard, 5000 block--Thieves hid inside a business after it closed and then stole money and other property, valued at $3,200, on Feb. 6 or 7.
Silver Lake
Garden Avenue, 3200 block--Burglars smashed the rear window of a house and stole money and jewelry, valued at $20,000, between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
Corralitas Drive, 2400 block--Tools valued at $1,100 were stolen from a house on Feb. 3 or 4.
Garden Avenue, 3400 block--Thieves jimmied the door of a house and stole money and jewelry, valued at $10,716, and ransacked the house between 10:50 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
Brunswick Avenue, 4200 block--A burglar, who had gathered up money and camera equipment valued at $1,010, was frightened off from a house when the occupant arrived at 11:15 p.m. Feb. 4.
