As usual, The Times got it wrong. Your editorial asserted that “ . . . cheap guns (are) available to virtually anyone who asks.” Currently there is a 15-day waiting period and background check for all guns that are bought in California. The fact that guns can easily be obtained on the black market disproves the notion that gun control laws deter crime. It’s that simple.
