Mazda Gives Clark Vitulli a Promotion

IRVINE — Mazda Motor of America Inc. said Monday that Clark Vitulli, 47, has been promoted to executive vice president from senior vice president.
Mazda also promoted George McCabe, 53, to senior vice president and head of Mazda’s northeast region. McCabe had been group vice president at the company’s headquarters in Irvine.
Kazuo (Sonny) Sonoguchi, MMA president and chief executive, said the appointments were made to shift more resources to the company’s field operations in an effort to provide more support to Mazda’s 900 U.S. dealers.
Other appointments announced by MMA and effective immediately include Bill Goetze, named senior vice president and general manager of the company’s western region.
Duke Hale was named vice president of field support, and Janet Thompson was named vice president of sales operations.
Peter Lassen was named vice president and general manager of Mazda’s gulf region, and John English was named vice president and general manager of MMA’s southeast region.
All of the general managers will report to Sonoguchi.
