Perry led her team to a pair of San Gabriel Valley League wins. She scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in an 80-44 victory over Paramount. She added 18 points as she helped the Dons to a 47-44 win over Gahr. The latter victory put Cerritos into a second-place tie with Gahr in the final league standings.
Other top prep performers:
Kadida Buie, a Bellflower basketball player, scored 15 points and had 11 rebounds in a Suburban League victory over Artesia, 77-48. She then scored 14 points in a 51-28 win over Mayfair. The victories clinched the league title for Bellflower.
Myisha Delaney, a Wilson soccer player, helped the Bruins finish the Moore League season with a 10-0 record by scoring three goals in an 8-1 victory over Compton.
