SAME OLD STORY: There seems to be no end to the people who want to rip off the elderly, from home improvement con artists to even the friends and relatives of senior citizens. Says Ronna Reed, general counsel for the Public Law Center in Santa Ana: “It’s shocking the number of people who control their parents’ property, then squander the assets.” . . . One answer: Her office has set up an Elder Abuse Project, for anyone over 60 who may need legal help.
