President’s Economic Plan
After watching President Clinton’s speech (Feb. 17), I feel proud to have voted for him. While his program is different in detail than that which he outlined during his campaign, he has shown himself big enough to re-evaluate a situation and come to the tough conclusions of what must be done.
In one great speech, President Clinton has shown that he is a leader with the vision necessary to lead this nation back to greatness. Will we need to sacrifice? Yes. Are there elements to his package to dislike? Probably. But we need more than anything to have and follow a cohesive plan. Special interest bickering has brought us to the point where the nation is on the verge of bankruptcy. President Clinton’s plan is a good, balanced one. We owe it to ourselves to support it.
