Train Kills Man, 49, Walking in Anaheim

ANAHEIM — A 49-year-old man was killed Saturday night when he was hit by a train while walking along the tracks near East Sycamore Street, police said.
David Laviers, who apparently lived in the Anaheim area, was hit by an Amtrak train on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad tracks about 9:16 p.m., according to reports from the Anaheim Police Department and the county coroner’s office.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
