LOS ANGELES : Cruise Passenger Traffic Up Sharply

Despite the recession, the Port of Los Angeles recorded a 31.3% increase in cruise passenger traffic for the 1992 calendar year.
More than 885,000 passengers passed through the Port’s World Cruise Center, compared to 674,000 the previous year, said Port of Los Angeles spokeswoman Barbara Yamamoto.
Los Angeles is the No. 1 cruise port on the West Coast and No. 3 in the nation.
