Georg Hackl of Germany won the World Cup Luge men’s singles final at Mt. Van Hovenburg near Lake Placid, N.Y.
Hackl, who won a silver medal in luge at the 1988 Olympics and a gold in 1992, had an aggregate time of 1:24.950 for two runs down the 1,000-meter, 14-curve track.
