Nureyev Tribute: A tribute to Rudolf Nureyev, who died of complications of AIDS in January, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday--the late dancer’s birthday--at the Ballet Ecarte Studio in Culver City. The event will include a display of photos and memorabilia on loan from Britain’s Royal Opera House and Russia’s Kirov Ballet, a video compilation of Nureyev’s career highlights and a performance of classical Russian ballet by Ballet Ecarte members. The studio plans to establish a dance scholarship in Nureyev’s name.
