Winthrop University has canceled the rest of its men’s tennis season after a traffic accident in Mississippi killed one of its players.
A decision on whether to continue the women’s season will be made when the team returns to the Rock Hill, S.C., campus, a school spokesman said.
Bruno Torok, a 19-year-old sophomore from Brazil, was killed when the school van he was riding in flipped twice and crashed early Wednesday morning.
