The manager of heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe was fined $35,000 by the Nevada Athletic Commission as a result of beating a news photographer.
Rock Newman was also ordered to appear before the commission at its next meeting and to apologize for the incident, which occurred during a melee in the ring on Nov. 13 after Bowe’s victory over then-heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.
