Navy Renews Comarco Contract: Comarco Inc. said Friday that its contract with the Navy’s weapons center in Crane, Ind., has been renewed. The Anaheim engineering company has provided supplemental services at the base for the past five years. Under the new contract, valued at $35 million, Comarco will remain on the site another three years with two one-year extension options.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane buys and tests weapons used on aircraft carriers. Comarco has about 100 employees at the base. “The continuation of our contract reaffirms to our employees that the Navy thinks we’ve done a great job,” said Don M. Bailey, president and chief executive officer of Comarco.
