Former Philip Morris Chief Named Agency Head: In an unusual move, the San Francisco agency Mandelbaum Mooney Ashley has named 64-year-old Shepard P. Pollack, a former president of Philip Morris U.S.A., as its chairman. He takes over the post formerly held by Cathi Mooney, who will remain creative director at the agency that creates ads for Airborne Express and Seagram’s Classics Wine Co.
