Postal Service Needs to Clean Up Its Mail Act
- Share via
After reading the results of the UCI study comparing fax and U.S. postal services (“UCI Study Finds Using Fax Usually Cheaper Than U.S. Mail,” March 28), it is evident that it is time for the U.S. government to learn what businesses have already learned about efficiency and competition.
Since the government is looking to cut costs, perhaps layoffs of high officials with political patronage jobs is every bit as appropriate as the aerospace industry laying off those in senior positions. I may not run to the alternative postal services quite yet to stand in line to fax my mail, but if the Postal Service doesn’t clean up its act, groups of individuals like me may buy a fax machine to share in the near future.
