The University of Washington said that Bob Bender, who became the Huskies’ basketball coach last week, violated an NCAA rule by meeting with a recruit for two hours in his office Thursday. NCAA rules prohibit in-person contact between coaches and recruits for 48 hours before and after the first signing day for recruits.
