Troy 10, Sonora 3--Nick Ruzzi had two hits and drove in three runs for host Troy (12-3-1, 6-0-1).

Orange 4, Foothill 0--Gary Folsom pitched a four-hitter and had two hits and two RBIs for Orange (8-8, 4-2).

Villa Park 12, El Modena 5--Scott Henderson (3-2), who had eight strikeouts in six innings, also had two hits, two RBIs and scored three runs for visiting Villa Park (8-8, 3-3).

Whittier Christian 13, Brethren Christian 3--Ila Borders (5-3) pitched a four-hitter, giving up one earned run for the Heralds (8-8, 4-2).

Brea-Olinda 20, Valencia 4--Marc Anspach was five for six with five RBIs for visiting Brea-Olinda (10-6-1, 4-2-1), which had 26 hits. Danny Miller four hits, including a home run and a double, and drove in three runs and Charlie Heintz had four hits and drove in three runs for the Wildcats.

Anaheim 4, Magnolia 3--David Zuniga had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Anaheim (4-14, 1-6).

Century 9, Trabuco Hills 2--Hondo Huizar had three hits and an RBI and Abraham Inocencio had three hits and two RBIs for the Centurions (7-6-1, 3-2-1).

Laguna Hills 18, Laguna Beach 6--Ron DeVito had a home run, scored three runs and drove in five runs for visiting Laguna Hills (10-8, 6-1). Mike McAloney hit two home runs and had four RBIs for the Hawks.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 15, Mater Dei 4--Ryan Gauntner hit a grand slam in the fourth inning to key Capistrano Valley’s second six-run inning of the game and the No. 4 Cougars (11-5, 4-3) handed No. 1 Mater Dei (14-3, 6-1) its first league loss. Gauntner had six RBIs.

Peter Zamora (5-2) struck out nine in the victory.

Dana Hills 6, San Clemente 1--Seth Etherton (5-2) allowed six hits and no walks and struck out eight in a complete-game victory for Dana Hills. Etherton hit a two-run home run in the fourth for the Dolphins (11-7, 4-3).

Newport Harbor 3, University 2--Center fielder Chris Parker threw out the potential go-head run at the plate in the top of the seventh, then scored the winning run in the bottom of the inning for Newport Harbor (4-13, 2-4).

Edison 9, Ocean View 8--Todd Belitz completed the visiting Chargers’ four-run rally with an RBI single in the sixth. Edison (13-3, 6-0) scored two in the fifth and two in the sixth.
