A man robbed a Thousand Oaks pet supply store Saturday morning after waiting outside a back door for an employee to open the store for business, authorities said.
The man confronted a Petco employee at 8:55 a.m. as she opened a back door to the store in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bruce Watlington said.
After brandishing a gun, the man took an undetermined amount of money from the store’s cash register and safe and then fled on foot, Watlington said.
