ASCAP Awards: Composer Maurice Jarre, a three-time Oscar winner for his film scores for “A Passage to India,” “Doctor Zhivago” and “Lawrence of Arabia,” received the Golden Soundtrack Award for lifetime achievement on Wednesday from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers during the group’s eighth annual Film and Television Awards at the Beverly Hilton. Also honored were composers of themes and scores from top-rated TV shows and top box-office movies.
