Country Women’s Tribute: CBS pays tribute to the past, present and future of women in country music on May 7 with “The Women of Country,” a two-hour, prime-time special featuring 100 women from four generations. The 8 p.m. tribute, featuring concert sequences, archival footage, vintage photographs and interviews, is believed to mark the largest gathering of female artists, songwriters and businesswomen ever. Performers include Suzy Bogguss, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Emmylou Harris, Wynonna Judd, Patty Loveless, Kathy Mattea, Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis, Tanya Tucker, Tammy Wynette and Trisha Yearwood.
