Former Harbor College track and field Coach Terry Wallace died Tuesday during back surgery at Centinela Hospital, Seahawk Athletic Director Jim O’Brien said.
Wallace, 55, was Harbor’s track and field coach until the program was discontinued in 1981. He taught physical education at Harbor for almost 20 years. Before joining the staff at Harbor, Wallace coached track at Palos Verdes High.
“It’s a sad day at Harbor,” O’Brien said. “He was very well-liked by everybody and we’re going to miss him.”
