Speed Limit

In response to “Slowpokes Make Point at 55 M.P.H.” (April 26):
With the ozone layer diminishing and car insurance rates the opposite, I have a really hard time sympathizing with people naive enough to believe that speed does not kill. A 55 m.p.h. speed limit saves fuel and saves lives; this has been proven in areas (British Columbia, for example) where this law is enforced.
Let’s end the hypocrisy: Ticket the speeders and ask repeat offenders to use the public transit. That ought to cure anyone!
