A jockey suffered a broken rib and a bruised lung when he fell from his mount during the fourth race at Churchill Downs.
Joe Steiner, 27, of Renton, Wash., was listed in stable condition at a Louisville hospital. Steiner also was checked for other possible abdominal injuries, a Churchill Downs spokesman said.
