Ventura police arrested a third person Sunday in connection with a surge of graffiti tagging incidents along Main Street between Ventura Avenue and Telephone Road.
Police arrested an Oxnard youth for conspiracy and felony vandalism in what they described as the worst graffiti attack in Ventura history. The suspect was not identified because he is a juvenile.
Taggers hit 60 to 80 businesses and homes, causing an estimated $10,000 to $20,000 in property damage, police said.
Shopkeepers, home owners and city employees have cleaned up most of the markings, police said.
Police on Saturday arrested Luis Simental and Ricardo Auila, both 18-year-old Oxnard residents, in connection with the incident. Officials said they are searching for more suspects.
