Clippers Talk to Weiss, Musselman
The Clippers interviewed Bob Weiss and Bill Musselman while in Chicago last week for a pre-draft scouting combine and hope to talk to at least a couple of more candidates before making a decision on Larry Brown’s successor as coach.
One of the other candidates, Denver assistant Gene Littles, withdrew from consideration Monday, saying he wanted to concentrate on helping the Nuggets improve rather than be in limbo on another job.
Weiss was fired by the Atlanta Hawks at the end of the season, but the Clippers had interest in him even as he joined Don Chaney’s staff as an assistant with the Detroit Pistons. Musselman was the first coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
