A father was jailed on charges of criminal handling of a gun after his 9-year-old son used it to fatally shoot a 7-year-old playmate in a North Long Beach home Monday afternoon, sheriff’s deputies said.
The younger boy, Jackson Truong, died at Lakewood Doctors Hospital, deputies said.
After questioning, Alfred Louis Milliner, 35, was booked for investigation of criminal storage of a firearm--a 9-millimeter, semiautomatic pistol--and was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail at the Lakewood sheriffs station.
Further details of the shooting were not immediately available.
