OAXACA, Mexico — The Oaxaca state attorney general’s office here says it has fired 10 of its officials and 65 of its police officers in only six months, the government’s Notimex news agency reported Wednesday.
Atty. Gen. Sadot Sanchez Carreno said that the firings, and the charges brought against 23 former agency employees, show that the office will be cleaned out “to eliminate corruption, arbitrary practices and excesses.”
